London, 14 February 2014: Optoma has just launched a new projector designed for engineers, marketeers and medical trainers - where detail really matters.
The new EH500 high resolution full HD 1080p projector has been engineered for technical, medical training and advertising professionals who need brighter, higher quality imagery and complex detail in their presentations.
Justin Halls, Head of Product Management at Optoma, commented: “This is one of the most affordable 4,700-lumen projectors on the market. As well as the full HD high resolution, the projector’s10:000:1 contrast ratio and its brightness of 4,700 lumens make the images pin sharp.
“It has an Eco mode for energy saving which includes standby mode and auto power off. And because it is virtually maintenance free, it has an overall lower cost of ownership, longer life and improved reliability.”
The full 3D projector can be managed and monitored remotely with Crestron Roomview, Telnet, Extron IP Link, AMX and PJ-Link, which allow almost all aspects of the EH500 to be controlled across a network. It has extensive connectivity supporting a greater flexibility of computer and video inputs including HDMI, VGA and DisplayPort. DisplayPort can be used to transmit audio and video simultaneously, but each one is optional and can be transmitted without the other. It also has audio inputs, which cut out the need for additional costly audio hardware and cabling.
The EH500 features DLP® (Digital Light Processing) technology, pioneered by Texas Instruments, which uses millions of mirrors, which produce higher quality 3D images and ensure the projector does not suffer colour degradation over time, as sometimes experienced in other projector technologies.
Justin added: “We are so confident that the EH500 image colour quality will remain as good as the day it was bought, that Optoma provides a unique five-year colour guarantee.”
