Optoma launches 1080p classroom projector

Schools, colleges and universities can now get a super-size high resolution picture with the new Optoma EH200ST-EDU projector, just launched.

As part of Optoma’s Education and Public Sector Range, it comes with a three year *De-Re warranty for the projector and a three year lamp warranty, to give that extra peace of mind.

Optoma’s Head of Product Marketing, Justin Halls, said: “Space is often an issue in classrooms and screens must be large enough for the whole class to see.  The new EH200ST-EDU boasts a short throw lens which gives a super-sized 100-inch picture on a screen or wall from just over a metre away. This is absolutely perfect for the classroom.”

The full 3D 1080p projector, with powerful built-in speakers, produces bright vivid colours due to its 3,000-lumen brightness.

Digital connectivity

It has two HDMI inputs making switching between sources literally the push of a button. It can even be turned it into a smart display by connecting a smartphone or tablet with a single cable using MHL to play games, stream videos and share images on the big screen.

Integrated Speaker

The EH200ST-EDU comes complete with a built-in speaker that delivers powerful 10W audio, with exceptional sound quality. Despite the small dimensions of the projector, the level of audio created will easily fill a classroom. An audio output is also included, enabling connection to external sound systems.

Full 3D

The EH200ST-EDU can display true 3D content from almost any 3D source, including 3D Blu-ray players, 3D broadcasting and the latest generation games consoles. Support for 144Hz rapid refresh rate provides ultra-smooth flicker free images. The 3D-sync port can connect to an Optoma 3D system and glasses (sold separately).

Optoma’s education website highlights how to choose an education projector for small or large classrooms and auditoriums as well as information on wireless projection, interactive features and 3D.  www.optoma.co.uk/education
