Optoma launches ProScene EX855 and EW865 XGA/WXGA 5500/6000 Lumens Installation Projectors

London, April 2012 – Optoma today announced the EX855 and EW865 XGA/WXGA 6000/5500 Lumens installation projectors. The interchangeable lens design represents the latest additions to the acclaimed ProScene range – launched in 2011 and created by Optoma specifically for demanding professional applications. The ProScene marque has been created for very high brightness, fully featured and extensively supported Optoma projectors and services. ProScene projectors will be available only through certified partners, a network of the most experienced AV installers and integrators have been invited to join the ProScene Certified Partner Program.

These two new projectors, in XGA (EX855) and WXGA (EW865) are the result of more than ten years of dedicated design and manufacturing experience from one of just a handful of companies worldwide that are projector specialists.

Amongst the many new features of these latest Optoma projectors is a built-in mechanical shutter allowing light to be completely blacked out without the need to switch off the projector and the ability to offer 360 degree operation. Equally important is the innovative, removable, self-cleaning filter which not only provides protection against dust in difficult environments but also expels dust that may have accumulated.

The proven single chip DLP® Dark Chip 3 (DC3) design ensures faithful rendition of colour without degradation throughout the life of the projector. Optoma will offer an array of three purpose built lens options, from short throw to long, to meet almost any installation application. Each option will be entirely controllable via motorised lens-shift, zoom and focus control.

The EX855 and EW865 are ideal for boardrooms, auditoriums, live events, houses of worship among many, many other applications. Once installed, the projector is easily managed. In addition to AMX ® Dynamic Discovery, Optoma now offers Crestron Roomview ™ compatibility, a custom configurable interface to monitor, manage and control every device in every room remotely via a network.
