A new 1080p wireless device, the WPS Pro, just unveiled by Optoma, will cut cables and change the way businesses present in their meetings and boardrooms.
This clever device allows multiple users to collaborate and share presentations, photos and documents wirelessly from a smartphone, tablet or laptop to a projector or display. Four devices can present simultaneously using the WPS Pro.
The Optoma WPS Pro can be connected to a projector or any display with HDMI or VGA connection. Presenters can then share Full HD 1080p image quality on a big screen, without having to run cables across the room.
Optoma’s Head of Product Marketing, Justin Halls, said: “The WPS Pro is primed for instant viewing, which means presenting couldn’t be simpler as no cables are required. It can be used with mobile and computing devices for access to multiple file formats and cloud storage, as well as camera, music and web-browsing. It’s ideal for presenters to share high quality content from a variety of sources up to 100 metres in any room.”
The new device has the following features:
• Collaborative projection - split screen 4:1 – simultaneously present from up to four devices - perfect for sharing ideas during a meeting.
• Annotations - draw and annotate on the projected image from a mobile device. This can grab the audience’s attention with multiple colours, either freehand or using the tools provided to highlight key points.
• Laptop mirroring - mirror exactly what's on a laptop or Mac directly to the big screen. Perfect for sharing presentations directly from a computer, eliminating the hassle and extra cost of installing long cables.
• Live camera mode - turn a mobile device into a visualiser to instantly stream live camera footage to a projector or display from the mobile device.
Files can be accessed from Dropbox, Google Drive and other cloud storage services. For added convenience, a built in web browser allows users to surf the internet on a screen that is big enough for sharing content with much larger groups.
